Kickoff Success: CEDC and Androscoggin Valley Chamber Launch Small Business Workshop Series
BERLIN, NH - The Coös Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), in partnership with the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce, officially launched its highly anticipated 5-part Business Workshop Series on Wednesday, July 8th. Local entrepreneurs, professionals, and small business owners gathered at Cup & Cone in Berlin for the first workshop, which focused on Marketing & Customer Acquisition.
The atmosphere inside the venue was charged with collaborative energy as attendees dove into practical ideas and real-world strategies designed to be put into action immediately. From foundational marketing principles to modern customer retention tactics, the presentation aimed to provide tangible tools that any North Country business can use to build momentum in today's market.
The venue itself added a special layer of celebration to the afternoon. Cup & Cone, located at 83 Main Street in Berlin, NH, not only provided exceptional hospitality and an impressive spread of refreshments for attendees, but also proudly displayed its recently awarded 2026 BLOC Award for Outstanding Start-Up. Hosting the workshop in a space created by one of the areas own award-winning emerging entrepreneurs underscored the very goal of the series: fostering a strong, interconnected business community right here at home.
"The energy in the room was fantastic," said the CEDC team following the event. "Seeing our local business owners take the time to learn, ask sharp questions, and actively invest in their own success is exactly why we design these collaborative resources."
The partnership between CEDC and the Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce is built on a shared commitment to supporting regional economic development. Both organizations hope to empower small businesses at every stage of growth, whether they are just starting out or have been mainstays of the community for decades.
What’s Next? If you missed the kickoff session, there is still plenty of time to get involved. This workshop was only the first of five planned collaborative workshops. Details and registration information for Workshop #2 will be announced soon!
